Oh things they are a changing...

I have added a new quotation. I probably enjoy quotations too much but they help to make me feel inspired. And having recently been in Arizona, I feel inspired. There were some lampposts at the Camelback Inn that reminded me faces. It didn't matter if they were in full sun or at night, but their shape made me think of a very long nose, round head and deep eyes. On some curving pathways, they were lined up like sentries guarding the way to your destination. Ken couldn't see it but they were just staring me in the face.

And before we left for Arizona, I went to Lincoln and checked out the quilt museum there. I enjoyed most of the quilts but especially Nancy Crow who has a solo exhibit there entitled Nancy Crow: Cloth, Culture, Context. It runs March 30 - August 31, 2008. I loved her use of color. They didn't allow photographs so I can't share what I saw. She has a web site, http://www.nancycrow.com/. This picture is from her website just to show a sample of her type of color & form she uses. There is also a new book out that is self-titled. The forward is written by Jean Robertson. I want to get that book. At the museum they had a catalog of the current exhibit, but it's color was off. And that to me is one of the biggest things in quilting - how the color impacts me in how I feel.

On Sunday, I went with Janel to look at her puppy. We ended up bringing her home. Janel named her Gracie. And she is a cutie! A soft, brown chocolate lab that is now 8 pounds but will grow to be a lot more!
