A dreamy morning...

This morning started out dreamy. I slept in longer and tend to dream more when I do this. Upon waking, there the morning's light was diffused in a foggy mist. The frost on the ground started to sparkle with the sun shining on it. Dreamy looking. When the weight of the fog lifts, the possibilities begin.

I have been working on Ken's paintings. With added color in a wash and some plastic wrap for a texture effect, they are getting better and closer to being finished. I think there is still something missing. Sometimes, these things take time. It's like one's mind works on it for you, without your hands, until your hands can get to it. You know, like "let me sleep on it".

Then there is that ever beckoning stash of fabric. At least is isn't growing. I have decided to go through all of it, be ruthless, and get rid of what I no longer like. Perhaps then I will feel like working with it more, instead of looking at it and not feeling guilty for not doing more. I will have nothing to hold me back. A benefit of this is that I will start to purchase new fabrics again. This is always inspiring to do and fun to look for when traveling.

And regarding travel, next week I go to Lincoln on Tuesday. I am going to visit the new quilt museum there and then on Wednesday, I go to Scottsdale with Ken for a couple of days. Should be a busy week.

Later...
