Make hay while the sun shines

And other old sayings... They have some credibility. Make hay while the sun shines speaks of hurry up and get it done before it rains (hay needs to be dry to be bailed or it will mold). Ken's Grandmother Wolfgram had many sayings. One of my favorites was talking about "motoring" someplace for a trip, where we would say "went to" or "drove to". How about "Haste makes waste"? Usually when I hurry to do something, and push it too hard, it takes longer because mistakes are made and need to be corrected. So a good and steady, constant flow is required to get the job done.

Today, I need to hurry up and get work done while Gracie the pup is sleeping or at least not needing to go out to the bathroom. She is pretty sweet and unbelievably playful in the morning. It must be all that pent up energy stored from a full night's sleep.

Other things I need to get momentum on are Janel's college graduation party planning and my parent's 50'th Anniversary celebration. It helps that they are six weeks apart. And that I have siblings that help in the planning and preparations for the anniversary celebration. I would be challenged past my limit otherwise. Both should be great fun and are wonderful things to celebrate.

On the studio front, doesn't seem to be much time for that for a little bit yet. The beads are laying out from my purchases made in Arizona recently. The sun is beckoning through the windows and all is ready for me. Ken's office paintings look at me and way "what next?" Hopefully, soon, I can make the time to work on them. Until then, I'm making hay!
