New challenges

When I was in Arizona, I visited my friend, Susan. We never seem to have a difficult time re-connecting. It is as though we never left off. She is such a good influence on me. And she is usually creating something wonderful. This time she showed me some embellishments with beads that from a class taught by Nancy Eha, http://www.beadcreative.com/ and Susan told me about the book that many of the techniques came from, Bead Creative Art Quilts.
I ordered the book this week and can hardly wait!
We also went to a couple of bead shops; The Scottsdale Bead Company and Beads Galore. There is something about bead availability in Phoenix. It is always a great score on uniqueness and size. Now I get to make something with them. I have a commissioned double strand bracelet and I hope to wear and sell other pieces, and perhaps get more commissions.
With Janel working today, I get puppy duty :) She is so frisky! And I don't seem to be getting much of anything done. I guess I have to learn how to do more in less time while watching her. That is one of many challenges that I face.
As Lee Iacocca said, "The ability to concentrate and to use time well is everything."
Here is to that ability, such as it is...
