Road trip & Relatives

Today I am in Fargo, North Dakota. This is familiar territory. I had fantastic weather for driving with little wind and sunny skies. Because of this I was able to take my car this time. It is the first time I have been able to drive it here. I am thinking positive thoughts that I will have the same for the return trip on Tuesday. These photos show what it looks like closer to Fargo. There are some good words of advice on random billboards. There used to be a rumor that they were paid for by an anonymous person. I don't know if that is still true but it makes for a good story.

Britttany and I went to a restaurant called "Spitfire Grill". The food came fast and was tasty. I think it would be fun to be a restaurant critic. I would love to do that annyomously. However, I would probably have to get more daring on my food choices. So that is something to work on.

My parents left yesterday after a 3 day stay on their return from Arizona. It is always so nice to see them and to have them stay for a short time is a blessing. As adults, one on one time with parents is a gift. Dad had me order a cd for him and I played it for them on my computer. Mom & Dad "cut a rug" and we all enjoyed it. The thought of it makes me smile.

Brittany and I watched The Holiday with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Judd Law last night. I had seen it before but enjoyed it again. I think it would be a good one to purchase and watch yearly around Christmas time. Lois enjoyed a nice nap on top of Brittany. Those fur throws are sooooo warm!

Today we intend to shop at Macy's and a few other places. I usually like to go to Mill End Fabrics as there doesn't seem to be anything like that in Omaha. Later, we will go to my sister Kristi's house and hang there for a while.

It should be a fun weekend. Later....
