Weekend is here
The weekend is here. We had a nice one last weekend. New York City. Big city. Our view looking up from the hotel room was the Chrysler Building. We were right next to it. It made my more interested in it's history.
Last year we walked to get a good view of this building. This year was pretty cool, and on the 31st floor, look how high up it goes! We went to celebrate our 28Th Anniversary and see two Yankee games.
Being the final season in their old ballpark, tickets are difficult to come by. But Jonathan helped us there. Don't know if it shows well in this photo of Brittany but we were 2 rows from the very top for the first game. It was so hot, a balmy 98 degrees and high humidity. A slight
breeze came through the windows at the back wall, but not nearly enough. Whew! An order of 3 hot dogs, an Italian sausage, 4 beers and 1 french fries came to......$70! OMG
What else can you say.
We also had to stop at the stoop where Carrie from Sex and the City lived (I think...) and to the Magnolia Bakery for cupcakes (also in the tv show).
And now we have another trip soon. This one will be big, really big. It is to Germany and France for 16 days. I am pretty excited. I am almost finished with getting clothing set for the trip. That is the hardest thing for me. I love to take so many pictures of things while I am there. It is like I am on overload. Cool textures and very unique stuff. More on that later.
