A day of...

Today is July 4, 2008. We are free. It is a good day, a good weekend to spend with those you love. The day looks very promising. There is no wind and a gentle haze hangs over the air. All is quiet at this early time, except for the golfers. Ken just left to golf with Jonathon. When they are finished, they intend to get more fireworks for tonight's display. A cookout beforehand and some fun should ensue. Their little girl, Madison is so cute! Only one year old - time will fly by for them.
I like how
my flowers are so pretty this year. They definitely are one of the best plantings I have done here in Omaha. Maybe I am finally getting it right. Ken and I replaced four rose shrubs last weekend. They really look very nice in front of my studio window. I would like to do more gardening but don't quite make the commitment. It was nice to work along side Ken. That brought back memories of when we used to do a huge amount of landscaping projects together.
Janel and Gracie were returning from a walk. I called Gracie and this is her coming, running towards me. "There's no place like home." It's a good place to be!
