Ah, Monday
Ah, Monday. Nothing like a beginning to the week. Although technically, Sunday is the beginning of the week. I always feel like that is a vacation day. Ken and I golfed 36 holes this weekend. It felt good. My score isn't getting worse at least. But never as good as one would like. It was difficult yesterday because when we started, there was a heavy mist and that really slowed down the ball, in the air and on the grass. But the mist did clear and it got a little better. The ground was a sponge in many places. Time to dry out!
Here
is Gracie laying on the back of my shoulders in-between me and my seat. Needless to say, I didn't drive too long like this. I think she looks a lot happier than I do. Funny girl.
I was able to continue on my quest of purging fabrics! I have a real hard time getting rid of some of them. There are definitely some easy ones, but others still appeal to me. The big questions is what if I should need them later??? I know, I know...you can figure that out and be more creative with some other selection. Point taken. Purge!
My friend, Susan and I are on a quilt challenge. We are to create a quilt any size, shape, ACCENTED with a paint technique, embellishment, or a fabric new to me. It is a way to get past the creative block and learn something new, something that is a stretch that perhaps you would not have chosen by yourself. I am looking forward to it. Just going through some of my fabrics the other day gets the juices flowing. I have a lot of decorator fabrics that would be something new to use in a quilt and I really want to add some beading as well. Just to start - soon!
I have ordered the self-titled Nancy Crow book. Can hardly wait for that to come. There is something so crisp and appealing about her work. Wouldn't it be cool to go to her studio and take a class or two from her? I think so, anyway. It would be fun to do that with a fellow quilting friend, someone to bounce ideas off back and forth.
I work today so need to close now, later...
