Yes, Saturday again.

Saturdays come around in good regularity. They are a necessity for sanity. I like them to use for opportunities to do something differant other than the normal routine.

Ken and I worked out at the gym earlier and tonight we are attending a fund raiser called VinNebraska. It raises money for a different charity each year. This year it is going towards the charity All Our Kids, Inc. One of the best parts is the wine sampling that goes with it. We had never heard of this event until a man at Flemmings' wine tasting told us about it. The wine maker from Meeker Vineyards was there. (The Tepee is coming back to Meeker!)

Last weekend we were in Fargo to celebrate Easter. We hosted the meal at Brittany's home. All of our family was able to get together. That is a real treat and getting more and more difficult to do. It was good to see all.

While we were driving there and I was looking out the window I was inspired by the trees. This happens a lot lately with trees. It is like they are trying to speak to me.

"Evergreen trees hugging to stay warm under their blankets of snow."

"Trees leaning into each other with secrets to tell..."

Parts of the area we were driving through were very beautiful as they had gotten fresh snow of around 6 + inches. The roads were fine when we went through and we had the benefit of it's beauty.
I have included a photo of the work in progress of the painting for Ken's office. There are three canvases that continue the picture into each other. I am having a difficult time finishing it. I didn't originally intend to paint a recognizable landscape but rather an abstract or even a mixed-media type piece. I guess the added pressure of everyone having visibility to it has clamped me down. I am disappointed in myself, that I don't have more courage to take the painting to where I originally had in mind. It is a little scarey putting yourself out there.
So my plan for tomorrow is to get at the painting again, be sure of what I want to do and DO IT!
